Welcome to the Paoli Peaks Ski Patrol website. Our membership encompasses 75+ volunteer members of the National Ski Patrol and have been providing a safe enviroment to ski and ride on since 1970. We are skilled and trained to the NSP OEC standards and maintain a high level of professionalism. As members of the NSP we are dedicated to the safety of skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts. Come out and ski/board/tube with us, and if you happen to need us, we’ll be there to help!

HOW TO BECOME A PATROLLER 

We are always looking for motivated and talented skiers and riders to join our patrol
National Ski Patrol members have a strong desire to help others, learn emergency care techniques, improve their skiing and snowboarding skills, and enhance the safety and enjoyment of snow sports for all. We have created a program to help you succeed in your journey.

STEP 1

Meet the patrol on the hill
We welcome anyone who may be interested in the Ski Patrol to stop in the patrol room and meet us
As skier traffic, snow conditions, and weather warrent, you would have the opportunity to ski along with a patrol to get an inside look at what is is like to be a patroller
Equipment and lift ticket are required to participate

STEP 2

Connect with our patrol recruiter
Have questions or would like to sign up for our next class?
Provide us with a few pieces of information and a member of our recruiting team will be in contact to discuss your interest and answer any questions 
Intermediate/advanced ski and/or snowboard experence perferred

STEP 3

Complete OEC Class 
Outdoor Emergency Care class taught by NSP certified instructors
Learn from a nationally recognized curriculum
Classes held in a hybrid format during the fall of each year (Students are required to read text book and complete online quizzes prior to each class)
Receive Hands on experience

STEP 4

Complete OET Training
Learn how to ski/ride from professionally trained instructors
Learn how to safely arrive to an injured skier/rider
Learn on how transport the patient in a Toboggan
Ability to practice on the ski hill when conditions permit and instructor availability
